The antient sport of dragon boat racing can be traced back more than 2000 years to rituals and events of southern China. 

Today, after thousands of years of existence, it still remains a richly spiritual sport with beautiful traditions respectfully practiced.  It's participants are recognized for fostering camaraderie, strength and endurance.

Dragon boat racing has spread beyond Asia to encompass Europe, North America, Australia and Africa with thousands of participants in over 50 countries.

Hope Afloat, USA is a competitive Dragon Boat Team dedicated to breast cancer survivor wellness and is comprised of Breast Cancer Survivors ranging in ages from 26 to 74.  Please click on the Hope Afloat Links to find more information o the wonderful organization.
